{Chrysler 300} Torsion Bar collapse

I had a 1970 340 Duster in 1976. Driving down the road the right side of the car completely collapsed onto the tire.

Looking underneath I expected to see a broken torsion bar.

Instead I saw the the torsion bar socket had completely spun out of the crossmember.
