Dave To Don’s point, all I can say is that using a come-along to pull a manual trans into the clutch disc and snug it up against the bell housing is a new one on me. Did you use an old 23 spline input shaft or one of those pilot bearing/clutch alignment tools when you put the new clutch and pressure plate in? Be careful!
