We’ve used Power Brake Boosters in San Jose for one 64 booster (Bendix type) and they did a great job.  Sent them another one but haven’t received it back yet so only have one data point… may be another source to get a quote anyway (ask for Martin or Michael).  I haven’t spoken with them about earlier boosters yet, but will soon.

So ignore most of what I said. Turns out my friend had sent two boosters one was from his ram car (DeSoto) and one was a bellows type from a 1957 Chrysler. The reason for the price was that the guide rod in the bellows one was broken and they'd have to source a new one. 

I'll still be sending a booster in for rebuild.

Where are people getting their brake boosters rebuilt? Specifically the can style used on the 300F. A friend just called Booster Dewey and he wants $700 for one because he can't get parts anymore.
