{Chrysler 300} Just for fun

You may(or may not) recall that I called attention to a book called “Willie the Taxi Cat” wherein Willie’s taxi is a yellow 300 F convertible. A friend of mine named Jim Amado from Utica, NY was the one who introduced me to the book. Then I in turn introduced the club to it. Many of us, me included, wondered how the author, Eva Sakmar-Sullivan, came to pick the F convertible.
Jim Amado took the effort to contact her. She stated something to this effect…… when she decided to write the book, she wanted a large open vehicle with “zany” styling. One day browsing in a local hobby shop, she came upon a 1:18 scale model of the F convertible, red in color, with the top down. She knew this was the car for the book. She took photos of the model from all angles to aid in her illustrations. Of course the car had to be yellow……after all, it’s a taxi.
There you have it. She has no connection to a real 300 F. She does however state she is a major muscle car fan.
