Here are a couple photos of the water pump I had rebuilt by Gary Nelson earlier this year. He used the water pump rebuild kit I had purchased from him many years ago, and he added the correct for a/c 7-blade impeller, saying it was the last one he had in stock. 

My non-a/c F coupe started being converted to a/c while still out in California decades ago - I’m hoping to complete the process over the winter.

One of the issues is that there are several water pumps out there. See the VERY long thread on the Charger forum. (Particularly pages 8 and 9: http://www.dodgecharger.com/forum/index.php/topic,60599.175.html)

 

What I wanted to know is folk’s experiences with the early 1960’s 413 and water pumps, housings, and thermostats before I just go out and buy a “replacement” part that may or may not be the best match.

 

I have one of the list recommended fan clutches on order, although I do need to find an 18 inch fan yet.
