I think the H had the 3.23 ratio as standard, as indicated by period literature, the Ackerson book, and the ’62 AMA specs here: 1962 AMA Specifications (chrysler300club.com)

Other ratios were available through the dealer parts dept.

The ’62 Sport had a 2.93 ratio standard with the 383 engine.

The ’62 Sport had a 3.23 ratio standard with the optional 413 single 4bbl and the 413 firepower 380 H package option for the Sport.

Right, and the F with 3.31 rear as standard, as Nick says.

Optional F ratios were 2.93, 3.15, 3.54, 3.73.

Optional G ratios were 3.15, 3.58, 3.73
H had 2.93 standard and 3.23 optional

J had 2 standard - 3.23 with TorqueFlite and 3.91 with manual

K, L and Hurst had 3.23 standard with no options.

Crazy, but the B and C had optional ratios as short as 6.17!

The correct gear ratio for the 300F is 3.31:1. That 323 might be a date code. Was your car built in March or April?
