{Chrysler 300} 300F core support paint

What's the consensus on black paint on the front of the core support on a 300Fs that aren't black?

I know Steve Albu's car has black paint on the front of it and also on the side panels on either side.

I've looked through all the pictures I've collected and only see a couple cars that have black paint. One is an original looking Terra Cotta car that just has it on the front of the core support and not on the sides. Also a white car like that.

I have a body assembly manual that Faxon recently put out and it only shows the black paint on the 1961 cars, but it could be just missing one for 1960. The 1961 illustrations do show the black on the side panels.
