--While we're on the topic of fan speeds, I have a question about my Hurst. My dash mounted fan speed switch seems to have LO-MED-LO speeds as I move it from left to right, as opposed to LO-MED-HI. It's not a no-function situation, as I can definitely tell the difference between LO and MED positions, but instead of blowing even faster on HI, it goes back to LO. Medium speed was always good enough with the cold air coming out of the vents in summer in MA, but I'm now in TX, and I think I'm going to need that HI position to really do its thing if I'm going to stay comfy. ;-(On Tue, Apr 18, 2023 at 12:07 PM Kurt Brueske <kurt.brueske@xxxxxxxxx> wrote:Thanks to everyone for their help - alas, the resistor is indeed MIA!Kurt--On Monday, April 17, 2023 at 10:07:19 PM UTC-5 Kurt Brueske wrote:I am wrapping up a long-term dash restoration project and am working through verification of all components. I have a question concerning the "resistor" depicted in Fig. 3 of the Air Conditioning section of the 1962 Service manual -- I've attached a picture. The resistor serves as a means to regulate blower speed - either Low/High - by either pulling/pushing the knob on the temperature control lever. Unfortunately, the resistor is MIA and was likely lost to time. Does anyone know the specs on the resistor and where it would be placed once installed?I appreciate any/all help! Thanks,Kurt
