Red distributor boot was used on #1 wire into the 1962 model year based on my research. I’m not sure if it was used throughout the 62 model year. 1963 and up did not use the red boot.
I got a red boot from Gary over 10 years ago and it had good color and has been fine. I recently ordered one from Quirey expecting the same result and was disappointed to find the color to be inferior. I’m not aware of other sources for a 7mm red straight distributor boot.
Re. the 57 300C or any 331, 354, or 392 hemi my advice is to make your own wires from 7mm black wire for a custom fit.

#1 plug wire boot on Chryslers (all Mopars?) was red dating back into the ‘50s. Don't recall if our ‘63 Newport still came with one. Pretty positive our ‘55 Windsor had a red #1.
I’ve bought 3 plug wire sets for my F from Lectric Limited - located near Midway Airport 20 minutes from me. Spoke with their guy awhile back about the red boots - he was familiar, but had no intention of making/stocking these. Gary Goers repopped them, but of a quality we wouldn’t run our 300s with.
Their website lists the sets they produce. If not listed, they don’t do them. I’ve typically only waited a day to have them made & pick them up.
