on battery switches , perhaps better to fix any drains , or possibly longer term remove clock fuse or put switch under dash for clock . Or to pull the cable is not that hard if many months .There should be no discharge of battery ,car resting but it is true that rodent damage on a live harness may cause a problem if it causes a short but that seems kind of remote , involving live wire , dumb rodent ( oxymoron) and ground that touches the skinned wire just right . rodent will feel 12v in mouth and go elsewhere . .I can’t stand mice , have destroyed wiring in several cars , including 10 k $ repair harness on V12 mercedes .After years of that the only thing that works is lots of old style traps and peanut butter refreshed every few monthsA fusible link ( sold for Fords) ) at main power takeoff at starter relay protects car even while driving if a short , works parked too . Where to spend the few $ , and have to look to find itWhy not switch ?If , by some mentally not too swift event , someone opens switch or did not close it well, and battery is disconnected while running , volts can go way high and blow up your radio , bulbs , dash power supply , any aftermarket ignition , gauges etc .As far as which pole it does not matter electrically but poles are different diameter use the one that fits right .Not advocating any thing , do as you want . I don’t use them . Someone may misoperate it,= disaster .. Plus look is just distracting … YMMVjohn gSent from my iPhoneOn Jul 20, 2023, at 8:44 AM, Dyke Ridgley <ridgleyracing65@xxxxxxxxx> wrote:I have used the "green" knob switches for over 40 years. I would like to stop taking off the terminals when the car is in the garage. I found a few but I am unsure if they are any good. Also I have a 300B and there are two switches in the dash that I am not 100% sure what they do. They are located to the left of the knob used to reset the trip odometer. The one I am pretty sure one is for the antenna(currently it’s not working so I can’t check) but the one further away only toggles left and back to center. Any insight as to what it does.ThanksZach Hietsch--For archives go to http://www.forwardlook.net/300-archive/search.htm#querylang---You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Chrysler 300 Club International" group. To unsubscribe from this group and stop receiving emails from it, send an email to chrysler-300-club-international+unsubscribe@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.To view this discussion on the web visit https://groups.google.com/d/msgid/chrysler-300-club-international/7CF5795C-6942-4402-A86F-36318D441125%40gmail.com.
