{Chrysler 300} 1962 Steering Gear Finish & Insulator

Hello All,

Steer & Gear rebuilt my steering gear.

They returned it painted flat black.

Not sure that is correct?

Did they leave the factory in plain ol’ metal?

If so, what would keep it from appearing rusty sooner than later?

And…

The Steering Gear Insulator (part #19-14-38)

Anyone know if Quirey has these?

Didn’t see them in the Gary Goers catalog.

Mine is not totally destroyed, but don’t know if some tears in the sidewall of the piece matters?
