I ordered some “weld” #6 and #8 studs. These have a little “L” foot on them. I will see if I can epoxy them in place of the broken studs. I looked at a couple of grills on eBay and had people selling them send me photos or look and each one had the studs broken at this point. I remember looking six months back and the same thing. There must be a design problem. The top lip of that part can get “pulled back” over time as it is in a bad spot. I suspect that is what is going on. You talking the piece that goes across nose of the hood? How about a picture? From: 'James Douglas' via Chrysler 300 Club International <chrysler-300-club-international@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>
Hi all, The front grill…the diecast that holds the plastic in place…the studs. On mine the two top ones are broken off and missing. I have looked at two or three on eBay and all of them have the same issues.
Does anyone have any creatives ideas? My only thought is to try and epoxy a couple of small threaded studs and see if they hold.
