{Chrysler 300} 1964 door rubber tube

Hi all,

 

I got a set of the door tubes from QQD (Gary) for the ’64. I went to put them in and the flange that sits in the retainer is much smaller. In fact, the screws do not go through the rubber.

 

Is this “normal” for the replacement? If so, what have folks done to make it work?

 

I tried to use it and the drag of the tube in the door plastic bushing is enough to pull it out of the retainer.
