On the F & G air cleaners, a question on the 2 wing nuts on each air cleaner -

I know the wing nut on the stud that holds the air cleaner together is painted gold.

Is the wing nut that holds the air cleaner to the carb painted gold or is it unpainted silver? My understanding is that this 2nd nut is unpainted, but I could well be wrong.

Being zinc plated, I’d paint them, or else maybe go with stainless or brass.
