Just went through this. Had to abandon the Harley Davidson hydraulic switch I installed in a T cause it failed. I'm using silicone DOT 5. I installed a mechanical switch as John described. Evidently the hydraulic switch has no wiping action to stay clean and the nature of the contact poles being slowly brought together invites arcing. Somehow the DOT 5 exacerbates the pitting and non self cleaning contact design. John may have told us this or I learned of it elsewhere. Can't remember. Tell this to my 63 Galaxie whose hydraulic switch I replaced once in 20 years or 60 Buick with its original 60,000 mile switch. Both cars on non silicone DOT 3. Old lines have a tee to front wheels line to rear not there anymore could redo o hold switch at that port , but mechanical way better Jg Sent from my iPhone > On Nov 12, 2023, at 1:47 PM, Zach Hietsch <zhietsch@xxxxxxxxx> wrote: > > Hello All, > > I am using the AAJ brake kit for my B and I bought the master cylinder myself but there is no spot for the stoplight switch. > > There looks like there is a spot to drill and tap one.
