RE: {Chrysler 300} 63 a/c vents

On the '64 they were always a problem. My folks purchased a 300K new in 1963 and they had the problem from the start. Mom put a folded over part of a business car on the side to keep it from moving.

They use a little roll pin in as the hinge and unless one wanted to modify it, there is not much one can do.

I did give some thought to making a Delrin part to slip down both sides to give it some friction that would not scratch the things up, but that is all I came up with thinking about it.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Another question a I move on this journey. I sure this has come up. First I don’t know how to search for this on the 300 site. Now,is there a trick to fixing the dash a/c vents that will not stay up? I love the uniqueness of the set up but mine are way past the sell by date on staying adjusted or just up! Once again any help is greatly appreciated. Enjoy the weekend…..
