I met the owner earlier this year when I was visiting Michael Van Der Veen in Australia. He had a '62 Plymouth at The Chryslers on The Murray show and we got talking to him and he mentioned the 300G. I didn't get to see it but Michael has. We suggested he join the club. His name is Les Siwek. Really nice guy and he's going to be putting rams back on that car. Probably not going to repaint it.

Just wondering if you have captured this car in the registry.

After seeing it a few times it occurred to me I had seen it for sale before and found https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1961-chrysler-300g-2/

 

I remember falling in love with the colour but not liking the interior trim.  I still think it is a stunning car and while no longer original, is far better than those that have been recycled into washing machines.

 

Makes me wonder if I was in a Chrysler showroom in 1961 whether I would have bought a Turquoise New Yorker or a White 300G...
