Re: {Chrysler 300} 1960 Dash Knobs and Chromed Trim Pieces

radio buttons pull off intact you can remove outer shells to clean they are thin brass . most clean up ok, if not get a junk radio for better ones .
Kind of same with knobs , — junkyards we know .
expensive to replate , issues with springs inside knobs and set screws . I restored many F and G never  replated any  knobs . Got better ones or cleaned up …
You will need the $ to do the steering wheel!

Just finished tearing down my 300F dash and will be sending out switches, radio, clock to get refurbished.

Are all the knobs and chrome pieces pot metal?  Seems like they are.

What has everyone done to restore their knobs and chrome pieces?  My knobs have some pitting so I could polish and perhaps repaint but they won't be real pretty.  Anyone have them re-chromed and repainted?  References?

Also curious what others have done with push button controls.   Guessing these are plastic and would require a very pricey re-chroming with vacuum metallization of some sorts.

While I'm on subject of chroming saw a post asking about chrome shops.  Response was okay but would like to hear more places that people have used.

Thanks in advance.
