Jim, cores can usually be re-cored by a good radiator shop. Out of 9 cars I remember buying a new core only once. for an AC equipped Impala. The rest I had to have repaired, including a core for an AC equipped 60 Buick, which are made of unobtanium. Besides, a fixed and checked core is likely a better bet than the off shore made parts. So the Corvette people tell me.
