{Chrysler 300} Re: ‘65 413 rebuild

I did reach out to the ‘65L consultant Mr. Jeff Bailey and received a quick response with pictures of his Plug Wire Brackets. Jeff, Thank You!

I was also able to find and receive some help from some members on forcbodiesonly. I’m passing along that information here to potentially help others here that may search this club’s archives.

First thing I learned is that this aluminum bracket was jerry rigged to hold the wire bracket. Duh, I’m trying to put brackets back how they were installed Lord knows when and by whom!

Funny stuff there as one of the replies on forcbodiesonly referred to it as a screen door part. L0L.
Below are some of the other helpful posts I received.

Hopefully this information will help someone like me who wants to learn More On their vehicle Spark Plug Brackets.
Best Regards,   John Klir
Ps. As a bonus on the 413 rebuild here are the exhaust manifolds fresh back from getting surfaced, there were many casting bumps that made me wonder how they sealed to the heads as I hear many RB’s didn’t utilize exhaust gaskets.

Progress has been made since moving on from the camshaft section. This ‘65 413 is going in a 300L. I am looking for some help on the correct position of a single spark plug wire bracket which is shown in the last picture.

Here’s the driver side showing spark plug brackets and heat shield.

The passenger side has one heat shield.

This is the bracket in question. I took, what I thought was plenty of photos while disassembling but non show it.
I believe it goes on the 2 head bolts the red arrows are pointing. Can anyone confirm that?

I primed the oil pump while assembling and the gauge attached registered 50psi.
Thanks in advance, regards, John Klir
