You can always send them to Eaton and they will rebuild them and you get the spring shape and numbers as factory. Of course it costs more takes longer. The new Eaton springs do not look the same as factory.

 

I have a set of 300K springs that I have to decide so I keep or toss out.

Inspection and reconditioning of the Sure Grip, Seals and other needs. The leaf springs will be replaced with new ones from either Eaton Detroit or Elso Springs and Things. Normal ride height is my goal with these 7 leaf springs.

Here are the springs side by side. The height measurement difference was 1 1/4”.

The Spring numbers are 2403606 and 605. A question, would anyone save these lower leafs and have them installed on the new Springs to keep the part numbers on the car?

There was orange paint on the pig unit that could be a factory inspection mark. I may reapply the orange color again.
