Rick, My G had a factory installed female fitting in the tube, capped off with a plug. If your F doesn’t have that, yes, you’d have to replace the tube with one with a fitting, or remove the tube, drill and weld in a female fitting to accept the nipple. ’61 was the first year for these, and only fitted in CA. Hadn’t crossed my mind that the ’60 would not have the female fitting (see attached pics). My PCV is an original early valve, I’ve seen them show up on eBay. The brass nipple is a common hardware store item. My G was sold new in NY, so evidently all Gs got these equalizer tubes with the fitting, blocked off everywhere but CA.
