The last time I was in Costco, I checked on a Group 27 battery and they did not stock them.  They could order, but I was told that Interstate (their supplier) was extremely slow and it could take weeks to get one.  Your local Costco may stock the Group 27, mine doesn't.  

I opted for a Walmart battery that has the bonus of being black, where the Costco battery is green.  It was also the next cheapest to Costco. 

If you do go the Walmart route, check the date on the top.  The first one I grabbed was over a year old.  The next one in the rack was only a month or two old.

I had the same problem, so I went to Auto Zone and got a cheap size 27 battery for temporary use.

Does anyone know of another source for the red cap group 27 Mopar batteries?  I placed an order for my G through Battery Central Mall back in June for an August delivery and I’m now told I won’t receive it until end of September/October. I do like their batteries, but I also would like to use my car sometime this summer.
