{Chrysler 300} window c and d

after some really helpful insights by John B , Henry S and Ron W , as well as JY —

it appears that possibly the U channel we use in restoration from Gary might be adding significantly to this issue ??
Does anyone have an unrestored set of channels ? maybe the original U was deeper or no or thinner metal at bottom of U or flocking was attached directly to factory back piece ? That is all guesswork on my part at this point , but for sure somethng is definitely wrong after restoration I have others , 4-5 c D , this one may just be an extreme case ,like the one Henry S had . but it seems all those mentioned had a flavor of this problem . 57 dodge 2 dr hardtops same deal .
Right now going to see if narrowing window tab at rear is at all feasible . We only need 1/8 to 3/16 i think to let it move freely . My car has new metal U prelined , done many years back , I assume Gary G parts .
