Hi all, I had a problem years ago with my 66 300. I solved the problem by building up the paint thickness on the wheels where each tab goes. Haven't had a cover fly off since. Also stops the cover from turning. If you do this allow the paint to dry well otherwise the tab will just scrape the paint off. Maybe use a heat gun. Let the judges detect this "mod." This message is relayed from Fern Rivard <crc@xxxxxxxxxxxx> Hi Kevin and the chrysler 300 group. When I restored my 300L 2 dr ht, I chose to install a set of 15 inch magnum 500 wheels c/w the spinner option. The 14 inch wheels from the factory were definitely not a good choice for that car. The factory hub caps also didn't do
anything for the car plus it was impossible to find any in
great condition. I got docked points at my first showing in Oregon because it had the 15 inch wheels but I don't care as it suits the car and has an awesome ride. I have a spare set of five nos wheels c/w spinner option in factory boxes that I purchased from the dealer in Sandy Oregon so these would be made in the USA. The reproduction of those wheels that are sometimes available are now made in china. Here's a photo showing what those wheels look like with the spinner option. Fern with black 300L 2dr ht.
