I think the original ones had that ring inside but was attached. It seems to stay in when you install the lens to the housing. Old ones fall apart so easily.

The book shows 94 bulbs. I just paid that high price for two new dome lamps, and I do not want to melt them.

 

If you look at the attached, I had a set of 1004 bulbs in them and they are a lot smaller than the 94 bulbs.  I am worried the 94’s will hit or be very close.  Can anyone shed any light on this for me (pun intended)?

 

Also, on the replacement covers there is included a little clear plastic part I have never seen before. Anyone know what it is for?
