i did put fittings like that on some of my cars to expedite draining the fuel tank when you put it away

car keeps running at idle gas goes into container till it runs out , much faster

but did not like the look . So made a tee with hoses , pull off inlet to fuel filter put in tee temporarily ; also allows check of fuel pressure / flow ( the worn out push rod on B block problem ) . You can see good pulse flow .

My question is: what is this inline unit? It has this small threaded nipple and I’m at a loss for what this would be for.
