In my youth, I had a '60 Caddy limo which I fitted with a set of Firestone radials.  Off popped the wheel covers.  I cured the problem witjh a thin layer of fiberglas goo in rim of wheel, bent out tabs an ouncie and popped on the covers.  The wheels flex due to radials, but the resin held the covers on, but still came off with proper encouragement!

Was following our former member, Don Nissen, in his gorgeous K convertible. Following him to an event at our St. Louis Meet, a hubcap popped off as he turned left. 
The only hubcap I’ve lost on my F, with all the miles I’ve logged, was on I-65 near Indy when I nailed a massive pothole enroute to our Lynchburg VA Meet. Lost somewhere in the tall weeds, we looked but never found it.

Interestingly, yesterday when the guy with the ’64 New Yorker stopped to talk with me is asked specifically do all 1964 hub caps pop off…

I've had problems with other Chrysler wheel covers falling off and passing me on the road. Especially after switching to radial tires. But I've not had any worries of my 300F ones coming off with how hard they are to put on and take off. 

 

Michael Van Der Veen and I took a test drive in his 1961 Belvedere for a test drive the other day before shipping it off to Australia and one cover came off and passed us by. A good send off for the car.
