{Chrysler 300} Re: Choke tube 62 300H

Replying to myself (ha)!  I found a nice solution today at Menards...1/4" copper tube that was easily persuaded into shape.  I took a dremel tool and fashioned two small cuts at one end so I could taper to snug fit the choke housing.  Covered the thing with a spare Chrysler choke sleeve I had laying around and voila, I am good!  Pics attached.  OBTW, there are Dorman/TRW/etc. repair kits online but prices seemed kind of stupid, even more so after adding equivalent cost in shipping for a 2 oz. item.

Now if I can just get the H started with that freshly restored distributor!

Would anyone happen to have, or know where I could find, the choke heat tube directing heated air from the passenger exhaust manifold to the rear carb choke?  I suspect something like this could be fabricated but I thought I’d check with the club first.

Thanks in advance!
