Harry did anyone respond? The sending unit is just a resistor to ground. A couple things to check first- the 5-pin connector on the back of the circuit card- pull it off and put it back on to try and re-seat the connection for sending unit, this connector frequently gets a little loose or the pins oxidize. Could also ground sending unit wire and see if your temp pointer moves all the way to hot. D&K
