My F has what I believe is this same master. It was installed along with front disc brakes by the most recent owner of the car around 2007 (after I sold it in 2001 or so.) It is a little bit of a challenge to check the brake fluid but it is possible once you figure out the routine.
The remote reservoir on the firewall looks like an easier configuration. A similar setup is what we have on our Studebaker R2 GT Hawk with the factory PDB. To those of you who aren’t familiar with the Hawks, the master is actually under the drivers side front floor and has an access hole for checking/adding fluid.

Hi John,
My 300F has a Raybestos Element 3 Dual Master Cylinder installed by the previous owner. It is a tight fit and it is difficult removing the one piece reservoir cover to check the fluid level because of the close proximity to the power brake booster, but it can be done. The bolt pattern is a perfect bolt on replacement for the stock cylinder. <Raybestos Element 3 Dual Master Cylinder.PNG> On Sunday, August 3, 2025 at 1:16:17 PM UTC-4 John Gaynor wrote:
Howdy
Has anyone installed a dual master cylinder without doing a disc brake conversion? I enjoy the originality of the drum brakes, however having the safety of a dual master would be comforting.
Appreciate your thoughts.
