Hi Andrew;
The amp wire does not connect to the amp gauge. It goes through the
metal loop on the back of the gauge.
As I recall, the amp wire goes into the loop from the top. If you do it
backwards the amp will
show discharge during charge. The terminal end of the amp wire goes to
the ignition switch as a feed wire.
Page 44 of the 1958 service manual has the schematic. Yes, 1958 manual.
The 57 manual has errors.

The CB CA BAT wire might be the feed wire to the headlamp switch, I am
not sure.
My guess is the AUX wire goes to the accessory post on the ignition switch.
I recently installed new wire harnesses in a C although I didn't buy
Greg's -- I expect
they are all pretty much the same. Pages 3, 6, and 7
of http://www.simplexco.com/auto/1957/57DB/1.html
should be of help. In any case, you should add fuse protection
shown on page 7.

I purchased a reproduction wiring loom from Greg leggatt and have contacted him and unfortunately he has passed away sad news for the 300 club I’m sure Greg and his knowledge will be missed.
I am stuck on a couple of items any information would be greatly appreciated.
1 how dose the wire for the AMP gauge connect ? am I missing a screw or something else.
2 CA C.B. Bat ? where dose this connect
3 AUX black wire where to connect ?
Also attached a picture of the restored dash at this point , finishing the rear view mirror then installing the padded overlay.
