{Chrysler 300} 1964 tail pipe

Here's one for the weeds. Or why do I care?

Attached is a picture of an NOS tail pipe for a 1964 Chrysler. That is quite a novel cut on the end, yes?

But how close would it come to the bumper?

It's winter and I thought about cutting a couple of slip-ons to mimic this.

The PO had welded on some cheesy chrome blunt tips, bending the bottom of the bumper upwards to get them to fit. Still they were rubbing and clanking a bit at idle.

I might guess that simple turn downs will hang down below the bumper. Did this stock design sit up out of site does anyone recall? But still have the exhaust gasses clear the bumper safely?
