{Chrysler 300} Re: POp Riveting Trim

When building or repairing aircraft fuel tanks, closed end blind rivets ("pop rivets") are often used where it's desirable to seal out any moisture ingress/egress.  These rivets are commonly available in various diameters and grip lengths, both in aircraft and common grades.

The metal has been repainted and the metal treated inside and sealed up,
so I would rather not try to weld new mounts to the car. My big question
is what method to use to rust proof the rivet holes?  I will use
aluminum rivets.  RTV crossed my mind, but not sure of the longevity.
