Re: {Chrysler 300} Gasoline

Agree totally ethanol runs fine , but runs a little off mixture in stock carb  it really needs a different  air fuel ratio , hard to do anything about that as it means new Carter mixture rods or springs...from where? But idle can be set right.
Hard valve seats are NOT needed. Correspondence around that drew no less than Burt himself, "unless highly loaded  boat or truck,  not needed" , plus on stock heads in 60-62 you easily hit water machining for insert seats, can cause later cracks. = head is junk
However ethanol  corrodes tank, carb , fuel lines inside and fuel pump , leaves white powdery crud on parts, ...run it out of fuel do not put away wet ; it also is a mechanical mixture, not a  true solution,  it will stratify in tank, you might get a pure slug of ethanol . supposedly this takes like 6 months, in a gas station tank too . Due to Mass blindly following California , we cannot get non ethanol here. Hard to store our cars....Briggs and Startton has good stuff, they have fat in that fire.  Stabl is ethanol.(!) Made to pull out water, despite BS claims .

I have been using 91 octane ethanol laced fuel for 2 years in my F and have had no issues.

with my F, once I installed (just north of the gas tank) the small electric fuel pump recommended on this alias, I get a very quick start as long as I prime it for 15 seconds before cranking.

Prior to this it was a long crank.

Easy install, huge difference
