Most modern shops fear bending 50-60 year old iron in a press with, lets face it, subpar aftermarket bushings that fail in a coupe of months. And most kids right out of the trade school working for the local shop are used to swapping whole arms out as this is commonplace for new vehicles ( all the companies service the arms with full bushings in place, in lieu of getting just the bushings). So this is not surprising as it looks like complete voodoo for these young guys...
