You might want to hold out for a 65 Transmission if you can find one. Its
the last year for the cable shift which means you can use your push buttons
and the first year for the modern slide in yolk for the driveshaft. The
torque convertors are also the new style which makes it easier to buy a
higher stall convertor if you want one.---mike 63 330
Ok so , that 1964 Newport I was talking about yesterday with the 361 and
a pushbutton tranny, they want 200 dollars for the tranny, as is. Is that
a fair price? Should I press on and find another deal? Does anybody out
there have a Big block pushbutton 727 for sale? I want to make my 63
Fury a 440 car, but keep the dashboard pushbuttons.
