The park cable is pushed too far in the housing.
If they could'nt get that right, the shift cable is probably not right
either.

I'm having some problems with my 64 727 transmission...center console (factory) shifter. Both cables are connected, but I think the idiots that owned the car before me reconnected them incorrectly (the car isn't running). Right now, when I spin the rear wheels or push the car, it moves no matter what position the shift select is in, but there is a "clicking" noise.
Can anyone give me a description of what cable goes to what connection point on the factory shifter, so I can tell if they've got it wrong?
