I'm still having problems with the mopar performance timing set up. I'm
setting up a 440 with the 509 cam. Setting the cam straight up, dot to dot,
leaves #1 piston 3/4" down. As I rotate the crank with lifters installed, the
piston reaches tdc when the "dot" on the cam gear is at 12 o'clock. There are
no instructions with the gearset. Has anyone used this setup, and is this
correct? The few other timing chain installs I did had #1 piston at tdc when the
cam and crank gear were set dot to dot. Being Moparilly challenged, any help
will be appreciated! Joe
