The wiring harness could be fried from too high voltage caused by that
faulty voltage regulator.
He may need to pull the gauge cluster and do a visual on the wiring

Excellent idea Stan but when I wired the motor back up, ,the wiper motor runs beautifully, and smooth.
Doesnt return to park position though. And they wont shut off.
Also went to my Battery guy today, he checked the charging system,
found a bum voltage regulator, i replaced that, and hoped somehow
it was linked to my wiper problem, but no dice.
