   try a mickey thompson 28.0/9.0-15, #3054. they work fairly well for
street/strip set up. these are real drag slicks. with a 3.55 or 3.91 
sure-grip your
combo will wake up. i've heard some good things about the mickey thompson 
drag
radials. the only thing i have against the m/t drag radials is that the
275-60x15 is about 10lbs apiece heavier than a regular slick. of course 
with the
slick, driving them to the track ain't a good idea.
  i'd look for some missing power. start with the fuel system. check pump
pressure and flow, look for any restrictions in the fuel lines. i picked up 
4mph
on my 69 r/t by replacing a bad line at the tank. good luck!
