Long story, but the cable that came is 48" the old, apparently intact cable is 44" The motor is a 78 400, but the 727 original to the 63 SF vert. Anyone know the correct length?
I can adjust it to select all but 1st gear button. Would a too-long cable be the cause? Thanks.
