here is my theory, if you look at the quarter "stripes on a 65
satellite, do they face forward (like side scoops) or back?
my satellite was a one owner untouched car, the direction
they faced on mine were "back" (the black part towards the back)
a very nice 426 satellite
i saw had them on in the "forward" direction, he swore that was
how they are supposed to go.
i believe, depending on who was on the assembly line on
any given day, determined the direction of the pieces.
unless they "punched" these things on the assembly line, the holes
on any given fender would have dictated which badge went on.
anybody have a view on that? how about a 65 poll?

I was always with the understanding that the Commando V8 was for the 426
street Wedge only, I had a 383 4 barrel parts car and it only had a V8
emblem. Maybe this is a question that Bill or Darwin can shed more lite
on!
