Well i am not getting any closer to a 1 of 39 ultra rare Mopar big
block 4 speed Muscle car that is worthy of a write up in mopar muscle ,
but i am geting a bit smarter in my choices, and what to look for,
thanks to listening to u old farts. LOL
Yep, i did it again, found a Mopar and an offer i couldnt refuse
Its a funny story too. last summer I saw an old couple driving
around town in a pristine 68 valiant two door sedan. I had
actually never seen one before and didnt know what it was exactly.
I had seen the later Valiants and the real early ones but never a
67-69 type. I thought "man thats kind of a cool little car and its
a post too, a little miniature post car. Bet it is light too, make
a goood race car".
Well guess what! No its not the old couples valiant but a
different one i brought home today, definitely classifies as a
survivor, its all original, everything is there down to the 4
hubcaps, original paint, original upholstery, even the original
paperwork, build sheet and owners manual .
I am now its third owner. it was owned by a couple here in oregon
from 68- 97, then sold to an older woman that drove it from 97-01
and then parked it for the last four years.
She advertised it and i was the first to respond.she kept me waiting
a few days while her son hacked it out of the briar thicket it had
been nesting in .
She assured me it was in pretty good shape, and ran great when she
parked it.
Well i found out that it is indeed in great shape and i couldnt
resist. she wanted 1200, I gave her 1000. I have spent all day
cleaning it up and scrubbing it and it is in pretty remamrkaBLE
SHAPE. Now i dont know what to do with it, i was gonna cut it up
for a race car and stuff my 340 in there, but now i dont know what
to do, seems a shame to hack up a nice litle piece of history. Its
kind of a goofy looking little car in a way, but i like it.
This is what it is: Its a 1968 Plymouth valiant 2 door sedan- slant
six 225/auto with the Bronze metallic color AND A beige interior.,
runs and drives,
im gonna put it in a show this weekend.
well sorry for the lengthy post about an off toipic mopar but i had
to share. Its not a superbird, but its all mine and its paid for.
