It's been a few years, but think they have 3 stages of "firmness", with the 
first actually a bit more than the old police modification.  Not knowing what 
I'd end up if got the firmest stage 3, I chose the 2.  After I drove the car, I 
immediately wished I had ordered the 3 level.  Not that the 2 was bad, but I 
thought more would have been OK.  I don't know if the 3 level is a big step 
more or not.
