Dodger,

Header size is a consideration. For a 440 1 7/8 to 1 3/4  is just fine for 
most street applications. You would not want to put 2 1/8 headers on 
a warmed up 440. What I was referring to is putting and 1 1/2 inch 
exhaust pipe and mufflers behind headers. If your using headers sizes 
listed above, I would use at least a 2 1/2 inch exhaust system. (pipes 
and mufflers behind the headers) Sorry for any confusion.
