Ron's exactly right, except the RB 383 was seen in the early 60's, not
late. I believe it was only used in the Chrysler Windsor, but Bill Watson
will clear that up.

I don't know why your source would tell you a 383 intake won't fit a 361
unless the 383 is a relatively rare Chrysler RB383 from the late '60s. All
the 'B' engines, 350,361,383(not the one rare one mentioned above) and
400) manifolds are interchangeable. All the 'RB' intakes, 413, 426, 440,
arae interchangeable. The early RB 383 interchanges with the other RB
intakes.

i own a 1959 dodge custom royal 361 cu in it has a two barrell as
standard what 4 barrell intakes will fit i have an intake casting number
2806301 info on line tells me it is a 383 intake and its not supposed to
fit a low deck motor but it does and it runs good
so what other intakes fit low decks that are not supposed to
