The Ruby Red used on 1965 Plymouths and Red on Dodges (code P) was Ditzler
71433. The interior red was Dark Red Metallic on the C body (71355) and
Red on the B body models (71203).
The exterior Ruby Red used on 1964 Plymouths and Red on Dodges (code P) was
71203, and was the same colour used on interior parts, although it was
called Majestic Red.
So, no, the exterior red used on 1964 Plymouths and Dodges (A & B) is not
the same exterior red as used on 1965 Plymouth and Dodges (A, B & C),
although it is the same red as used on the interiors of 1964 Plymouths and
Dodges as well as the interiors of 1965 Plymouth and Dodge B body models.
By the way, the 1964 71203 red was used on Canadian-built late production
(starting May) 1964 Plymouths and Dodges (code N - Flame Red #2) and again
in 1965 (code N - Highland Red). The early 1964 Flame Red #1 was Ditzler
71006, used by Chrysler of Canada from 1961 through late 1964, and was first
used in 1960 on U.S.-built Dodges. Ditzler's 71433 was never used on
Canadian-built Chryco cars.

Subject: Ruby Red in 1965?
Is the bright red used on '65 B-bodies (paint and trim) the same color that
was used on the '64 B-bodies?
Thanks,
Doug
