Sometimes you get what you pay for....
Not all paint guns are the same. You can get one from Eastwood that is a piece of crap or a real gem. The same goes for Harbor Freight.
It depends on the person monitoring the machine making the gun, plus the assembler and the quality control guy. More of a chance of junk getting on the market.
But......You can't go wrong with DeVilbis, Sata, or Sharpe. (That's just my opinion)
I use a $5.00 Sharpe yard sale gun for primer.
Can't afford a Sata but Have a Devilbis HVLP for paint.Both are worth cleaning and re using because they are so good.
I could throw the Sharpe away but why?
Check eBay and Craigs list and you just might find a gem..
