I've heard the 318 Poly called a "wide block" but not a big block. I suggest if you did a survey at a major Mopar event, like the Mopar Nationals, and asked "what is a big block Mopar engine" very few would reply "a poly 318."
383, 400, 426, 440 would likely come to mind as a Mopar big block. Most would forget about the 361 or 350. :)
